Holistic Skills is playing an active role in implementing various vocational skill projects as part of the Government of India’s Skill India mission. Our efforts are aimed at building a robust and self-reliant skill force in the country. We are on a mission to reach out to the underprivileged and marginalised section of the society, provide them with job specific training to enable them to get employment. All our centres have a dedicated Counselling and Placement cells. The function of these cells is to guide and motivate students in selecting the right vocation, establish industry connect and provide job opportunities. We also assist such youths to avail venture funding available under Mudra and other government schemes thereby contributing to Start-up India and Make in India.

The primary target segment for vocational skills under various central as well as state government schemes include but not restricted to:

School dropouts Class X / Class XII Students looking for livelihood opportunities Candidates belonging to minority community Women and PwD (People with Disability) Marginalised section of the society

PMKVY – Short Term Programs (STP)

We conduct short term programs under PMKVY at our vocational skill development centres spread across India. These programs are conducted either under the Centrally Sponsored Centrally Managed (CSCM) or Centrally Sponsored State Managed (CSSM) component of PMKVY. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), provides skill training to a large number of Indian youth to enable them in securing a better livelihood.

Duration of Short Term Programs varies per job role, ranging between 150 and 400 hours. The program also includes modules on soft skills, Entrepreneurship, digital and financial literacy. The entire training and assessment fees are paid by the Government.

PMKVY – Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Individuals with prior learning experience or skills are assessed and certified under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) component PMKVY. RPL is a motivator as it enhances confidence of the workforce by giving formal recognition for the skills, knowledge and understanding gained within or outside the workplace. We partner with companies, industry bodies and associations to facilitate in identifying, assessing and certifying the workforce by relevant industry Sector Skill Council. Some of the key benefits are as follows:

We have successfully executed RPL for Plumber General Job role for the Indian Plumbing Sector Skill council across multiple cities in the state of Maharashtra.
