We conduct short term programs under PMKVY at our vocational skill development centres spread across India. These programs are conducted either under the Centrally Sponsored Centrally Managed (CSCM) or Centrally Sponsored State Managed (CSSM) component of PMKVY. Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), provides skill training to a large number of Indian youth to enable them in securing a better livelihood.
Duration of Short Term Programs varies per job role, ranging between 150 and 400 hours. The program also includes modules on soft skills, Entrepreneurship, digital and financial literacy. The entire training and assessment fees are paid by the Government.
PMKVY – Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Individuals with prior learning experience or skills are assessed and certified under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) component PMKVY. RPL is a motivator as it enhances confidence of the workforce by giving formal recognition for the skills, knowledge and understanding gained within or outside the workplace.
